Chatham Farmer's Market 9/4/10 Recap

What a week.   We had sold out of most of our stock and needed to replenish badly.   There was a little glitch in our production schedule as we were not able to produce on Wednesday night like we are used to.   We like to at least mix our batches on one night and if we don't have time that gives us another day  to cook the burgers and freeze overnight in order to package them on Friday.  This past week we had to make sure we did it all in one night.   On top of that we were worried about the weather and how Hurricane Earl would affect us.

Luckily all went well and the weather cooperated.   It was a really beautiful day, albeit a bit windy.   I was glad I reminded Theresa to bring the weights for the tent.   Some tents almost blew over as the gusts were bigger than anticipated.

This week  we not only cooked all in one night but Theresa made time to make our weekly sides.  We brought a Black Bean Corn Salad and a Tomato Chutney.   I have decided that Chutney is my new favorite thing.....

Here are some photos of our day at the Market:

T's display...
Kids love to play with the beans and a little girl wanted to put the ginger in her basket.   Doesn't Theresa do a great display job?

The wind kept knocking this over.   I spent most of the day picking it up off the ground.....

Theresa with the Asian burger samples

We have been trying to just sample one flavor a week.  We are thinking of sampling the SW burger next Saturday.

Samples

Just another view of our samples.   It was a good week so will be producing more this week.   Hopefully our schedule won't be hampered...at least I don't think there is another Hurricane in the forecast.

Oh I have been experimenting with special effects with my photos....not great but what do you think???

Have a great week and we hope to see you Saturday!
